BAFTA Nomination – Independent Production Company of the Year

The nominations have been announced for the British Academy Children’s Awards, which honour the very best in children’s media.

We’re delighted to announce that Strawberry Blond has received a BAFTA nomination for Independent Production Company of the Year.

Steve Wynne, CEO of Strawberry Blond says “After just six short months, it’s truly an honour to be recognised, and in such stellar company too. It’s testament to the amazing team we have at Strawberry.”

The other nominees in the category are animation houses Blue Zoo (Digby Dragon), Magic Light (The Gruffalo) and Karrot Entertainment (Sarah and Duck).

“We are up against The Gruffalo, which I must have watched a million times with my kids. It’s humbling to know we’ve been considered in the same league as the other nominees who are clearly geniuses”, Wynne added.

The ceremony will be held at the Roundhouse, London, on Sunday 26 November and will be hosted by British actor, writer and comedian Doc Brown.
