CBBC orders 52 more episodes of ‘The Playlist’
We’re very excited to announce that our hit series “The Playlist” is returning for a third series on CBBC.
Strawberry Blond have been commissioned to make another 52 episodes of the only regular weekly music show on British television.
The Venice TV award nominated series premieres on iPlayer, and then on CBBC on Saturday mornings.
The new order takes the total number of episodes to 139.
We will also be launching a dedicated YouTube channel for the show which will feature highlighted content across all three series.
Series 2 has featured stars like Mabel, Tom Walker, Max & Harvey and current Number One artist, Lewis Capaldi and the new series promises even more.
Lauren Layfield, Lewys Ball and Rio Federika will continue to host the show which is filmed at the world famous BBC Radio 1 studios in Central London.
The show was commissioned by Cheryl Taylor and Hugh Lawton at CBBC and is Series Produced by Hannah Smith.
The first episode of Series 3 premieres Friday 5 April on iPlayer and then on the CBBC channel on Saturday 6 April.
